I started my career in the truck equipment industry in 1988. In the past 20 years I have worked with many manufacturers and products. This, and years of contact with distributors, has given me a broad understanding of the truck equipment business.

My work has always been a customer focused approach to the industry. Whether working with upfitters or end users, the goal is the same; customer satisfaction through understanding customer needs and proper equipment applications. Ron graduated from Xavier University with a Masters in Management and began his career working for his father in a manufactures rep business specializing in truck equipment and bodies. In 1979, Ron along with his brother Larry Collins, purchased the assets of Venco Manufacturing and ten years later, the company that manufactured Venturo Cranes. Ron served seven years on the Board of the National Truck Equipment Association. Ron is the Co-President of Collins Associates of which he is a majority owner and remains “on the run” covering Florida and South Carolina. Ron recently received the award for Statewide Guardian of the Year from the Governor of The State of Florida for his leadership in helping abused and neglected children in The Guardian Ad Litem Program. Besides all of these mentioned responsibilities, Ron's hobbies and activities include golf, travel and volunteer work.

I have 30 plus years experience in the truck equipment industry and I’m still learning. I enjoy working with all aspects of the business, especially the technical side of real world applications. I have a unique ability to work with end-users, distributor sales people, engineers as well as mechanics on the shop floor. I am not shy about coming out and training distributors on a a variety of subjects like sales, maintenance, trouble-shooting and my specialty; new installations. I am looking forward to another 30 years building even more new relationships with distributors and end-users alike.
