Venturo Truck Cranes has built a very unique training vehicle for 2008. Built for the express purpose of demonstrating the advantages and differences between articulating and straight boom cranes, this truck has the unusal feature of having not one, but two, fully functional hydraulic cranes on board.

Installed behind the cab of the Kenworth T300 chassis is a Ferrari 714A3 95,000 ft/lb articulating boom, also know as a “knuckle” boom, crane with 34’ reach and fully proportional radio remote controls. The truck’s body is a Venturo HT50, 11’ mechanic’s service body with the HT50KX, 50,000 ft/lb, straight boom crane with 20’ all-hydraulic extension and fully proportional radio remote controls. In addition to the standard toggle switch and trigger proportional radio remote control, the Venturo HT50KX also features an industry exclusive dual joystick controller that allows the user to ergonomically operate multiple functions with a single thumb motion. An Ingersoll Rand 40 cfm air compressor system is also part of the HT50 service body package.

In one easy training session, participants can learn about AND OPERATE both an articulating and a telescopic boom crane.
