Product finisher for high production automated paint line with conveyor spray painting onto bare steel and metal. Need to know how to mix and apply a single-phase paint. Experience with air assist HVLP and pressure pot paint systems. Able to be respirator qualified with experience using continuous air supply respiratory. Will perform maintenance and/or repair on all paint equipment and down draft paint booth. Minimum of 5 years wet spray paint experience. Knowledge of how to mix and apply two coat polyurethane paint and one coat primer. May be necessary to paint with 2-part enamel Imron 333M paint.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Must be proficient in the use of various HVLP wet coat paint systems used for applying industrial production coatings.
Familiar with the various materials, primers and finish coatings used in
production wet coat environment. Use of one part universal primer and single
stage 2K urethane.
Point person for ensuring quality standards for any parts painted.
Know and understand various paint applications and how paint interacts and responds to certain conditions and temperatures.
Maintain a clean working environment as part of normal routine. Ownership
of the paint department includes keeping the paint booth and surrounding
area clean with filters being changed at regular intervals.
Be able to lift 50 pounds.
Be safety conscious with 100% complaint usage of PPE.
Must be proficient at troubleshooting most common recurring problems without assistance.
Dependable and able to work overtime as requested.
