Venco Venturo Industries is opening a factory up-fit center to build crane service trucks in Cincinnati, OH and we are seeking an experienced Truck Equipment Installation Technician.
OUTLINE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic work for installation of various related equipment on truck chassis. Equipment includes service bodies, truck mounted cranes, truck hoists, hydraulic air compressors, outriggers and various other truck related equipment. Installation procedures will involve fabricating, welding, and electrical wiring while adjusting, trimming and fitting parts to moderately close tolerances, working with parts or components which are difficult to handle and other skills which require good dexterity and facility in the use of a variety of hand tools. Must gain sufficient understanding of the functional operation of the equipment to be installed to make modifications and parts substitutions in the installation process.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Possess mechanical, electrical and hydraulic assembly aptitude with minimum of five years’ experience in truck equipment or related field.
Experience in installation and up fitting of equipment onto cab and chassis.
Install electrical components onto truck such as lighting, trailer plugs and brake components.
Must have weld experience and be certified.
Experience with common truck shop tools and machining including air compressor systems.
Mechanical knowledge with PTOs and drivelines.
Must be familiar with 12 volt electrical systems and practices.
Be quality oriented while also possessing the ability to assemble from blueprints and wiring schematics in timely manner.
Ability to read and understand truck specification documents.
Capable of trouble shooting mechanical and/or electrical problems
Must possess an active driver’s license and have own transportation.
Be able to lift 50 pounds.
Must provide high attention to safety and detail while focused on quality.
Is proactive and creative in problem solving techniques.
Committed to showing up to work on time and attendance is a value.
Committed to working overtime as needed, including Saturday’s.
Experienced at driving and maneuvering a fork truck, load and unload safely.
Must be a team player, able to work independently and use sound judgment.
