Cincinnati, Ohio, June 29, 2023 — Venco Venturo®, an industry leader in the manufacturing, service and sales of work-ready service cranes, truck bodies, hoists and accessories since 1952, has appointed Jack Schmidt as western territory manager.
Schmidt takes on the role vacated by Ian Lahmer following his promotion to vice president, sales and marketing.
“This is an exciting opportunity to help develop new business opportunities, Schmidt said. “I’m thrilled the leadership team helped support this transition and I look forward to building relationships and creating sales programs for new and existing clients.”
Schmidt’s duties as western territory manager includes managing customer accounts in California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah and the Pacific Northwest. Additionally, Schmidt will work on strategically positioning Venco Venturo’s presence on the West Coast, develop relationships with end-users in key industries and manage daily quotes and technical data for all customers.
“It’s great to be engaged,” Schmidt adds. “We have wonderful customers in the West region, and I love being part of their day-to-day experience with us.”
Prior to becoming the new western territory manager for Venco Venturo, Schmidt spent more than 30 years in the trucking equipment industry, working as both a builder and owner. In 2014 he sold his trucking equipment company to Venco Venturo and retired. Four years later, he came out of retirement to become an independent manufacturer rep for Venco Venturo, eventually leading to his current position.
Schmidt began his new role in May 2023.
